EMKR FAN

* Emcore (EMKR) -- Buy Under $6 (aggressive buy below $5)The company, which also sells products in the fiber optics sector, plans to spin off its solar power business in 2009. This means we can expect EMKR to work out for us in a way similar to our Cypress Semiconductor (CY) play when it spun off its SunPower Corp. (SPWR) unit, making it a two-for-one winner.

* First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy Index Fund (FAN) -- Buy Under $27 (aggressive buy below $24)Our Alliance research shows the wind sector with momentum rivaling the hottest industries in the world. Global capacity of wind power is growing at 30% annually and will exceed 100 gigawatts this year. In the United States, wind currently provides only about 1% of our electricity, but by 2020, that figure could rise to 15%, since wind power is already competitive with natural-gas-generated electricity.
